Travel Thursdays –San Francisco

USA is the first country I traveled outside India. I traveled on a Thanks giving weekend (2004). I was traveling alone and I watched many movies and slept peacefully in the flight, I never traveled for such a long time in the air other than the domestic flights I took within India. I traveled by Singapore airlines and it is one of the best flights I have experienced so far, I didn’t have any problems. I landed in San Francisco, the excitement I had was truly amazing. I felt everything extremely pleasing when I got to experience them from the airport to cab to roads to apartment. I get to experience my first winter which wasn’t anyways so bad compared to rest of the US, I get to experience how organized everything was, cars moved following lanes and rules, I get to experience variety of foods, people and there were so many first time for me in that trip. Sweet memories!!

I was browsing through my iPhone pictures and came across these pictures, which I took last year when we flew to SFO on our way to India. I have traveled many times to and fro from SFO and each time it brings me back my memories from my first trip. I no longer is amazed with things, may be because I got used to it also India is advanced a lot in last few years compared to the time I traveled first time. Looking at the city and the golden gate bridge is an experience of its own. Do you agree?

Oh you have fond memories too? I love this place, maybe because I live here.
Looking at the city and the golden gate is an experience for sure, but that is only on days when you are able to see. Rest of the days its hidden by such a thick blanket of fog :)
