Swing

Few days ago I decided to sell Chucky’s swing, we had dissembled and kept it during our last move and since she has outgrown we never bothered to assemble the same. We kept it for a year in the garage thinking we could use it for the second baby, or rather we were not willing to sell this which has lot of memories of Chucky’s initial days into this world. For some reason last month I was in a mood to sell everything and pack my bags to India, remember I told my visa stuff rt. So one day I decided to put an add in craigslist, I got many responses. Few of them said they are expecting a new baby and can’t afford to buy a new swing and badly wanted this. I felt pity and decided to sell. This swing probably we will never use again. I told R about the same, he was very emotional and was against me selling it. I convinced him and the next day the buyers SIL came and picked the same. I had tough time controlling my emotions too but I was glad that a new born is going to enjoy it. Chucky probably don’t remember her swing because it’s more than one year she hasn’t used it. But we have so many memories, the excitement we had while selecting the swing, we went through many products and reviews and finally selected this one.

When the swing arrived R was away at work, my father was with us and he couldn’t stop himself from assembling it. When R came in the evening he was upset that my dad assembled it. He dissembled most of it finding some fault and assembled them again. R was too protective about his daughter. Most importantly Chucky enjoyed her swing. When ever she was cranky we would keep her and switch on the swing, it was connected to power supply and swing its own, she would enjoy the music, light and the little soft toys hanging, she would sleep with in no time. This swing has been very helpful for us.May be we can’t experience these ever again, but the memories are forever. Leaving you with one of Chucky’s pictures in the swing.

PS: Look at her top which says “Daddy Loves Me”, when we went for shopping I showed this Top to R and he didn’t have any second thought buying it and as we are growing with her one thing I can’t stop noticing is how much Dad and daughter love each other. It makes me believe that a girl’s first love is her dad.
